BB Assistance

I'm having a tiny bit of trouble doing manual on the BB's on the Test Server, anyone wanna fire it up and help me? I'm on right now, and will probably be lurking on it for some time...

(I need the best main's, but im fine with my little 1.08 sec rel duals as AA guns (Both on BB and CV)

Do you just mean Manual Aiming in general? It's best to practise with smaller ships to begin with if you have always used Auto FCS.

I can do manual, but after taking a shot at it myself, I was pretty good anywho.
I'm off now, but I'm cool now.

It's a lot easier learning manual for BBs by working at it gradually. As you go up in boat class your guns reload slower and you get use to using manual with BB guns without knowing it. Same thing goes for the increased range.

Also when ever you are using a new set of guns there is always time that it takes to learn the angles and manage to hit things. This is where playing 1-3 games in the sink the BB mission comes in handy.


Also, you in your latest post pointed out the downfalls of the test server. Ya, using 14" quads might work great on the test server but that setup doesn't work on the regular server. Most BB players on the test server have never played in the BB they're playing in or even in a BB at all. In the test server I easily pwned 2 montys and a SY in one game when i was using a POW simply because they don't know what to do with the boats they had. In the regular servers most people know how to play the ships (atleast a little) that they drive. A L2 using 3 x 14" quads would get gang raped before it got in range so it's guns could hit anything. Anyhow, the L2 with a regular setup has the potential to 1 shot anything.

yea, the getting used to manual advice is good, but oddly enough, i got it first try...

Well, as far as killing one Nevada, and the BB's on the Test Mission counts...
I did get 100% accuracy on the Nevada, cuz i died immediatly after that when his volly came down and pwned me...
